First there was VANQUISH. Now there is ZETO. As it were an evolutionary next step into the journey of deluxification, dawns the coming of the newest offering from JUMP. Hand crafted from a myriad assemblage of materials from the four corners of the globe, it features leathers aged in metallic copper, patents etched from the skins of dragon kings and full interior linings from the hides of cows that rival Kobe. It is a sneaker snatched from the lockers of the gods and now available, finally, to mankind.
Behold, the Zeto in Copper Metallic Leather. This colorway is available exclusively at select Bloomingdale’s locations.

So the Project NY show was an amazing success. The line looked fantastic and we did more business the first day in NY than we did all three days in the last Vegas show so I can only imagine what will happen at the next Vegas show. I’m already getting ready for Compass this week! Besides all our favorite buyers and many new buyers, we had some high profile people roll thru the booth as well. The celebrity love continues.
First we had Kenny Loggins swing by and he was totally into the Vanquish in Purple Croco.
You might remember Kenny as the creator of some 80s megahits like Dangerzone!!!!
This video makes me want to jump up and exclaim “YES!!” Totally my next karaoke conquest.
Shortly after, we had Ryan Grant of the Greenbay Packers, who was already a JUMP fan, check out the new line.
Again, at this show, the heavy hitters are the Vanquish and of course the new Zeto that will be in stores for August. What we did was take these two items and really blow them up to offer our customers a lot of options. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the new Vanquish that Courtney from American Rag picked out for her stores in the West Coast.
So after such a successful first day of show, we didn’t feel guilty partying hard after the second day of the show at our store in SoHo. We had the usual fare, Serrano Ham (which always leaves me hungry for more the day after I have it), cocktails sponsored by Red Bull and of course, Johnnie Walker.
We had a fantastic turnout.
There’s me, Harry Chen and Lawrence Chen.

And it looks like it was a big week for parties in SoHo as the next night Guess had a big opening party around the corner from us.
Lydia Hearst and Michelle Trachtenberg were there.
And the darling Amber Rose was looking fly.
We took this picture together after the interview but my boy, Henry, was all nervous and it came out like this. She told Henry and I we were cute. That’s why I’m blushing.
The following night was another event! THE CENTER hosted the Midsummer Night’s Salon with my buddy’s Ed Bennett and Dusty Wright. Following all the real performances we had a jam session where we did our rendition of Hound Dog.
Vanquish in Grey Nappa. It’s just an amazingly comfortable shoe. When we did these for Travel Fox back in the day, people loved these because the were so incredibly soft. This leather is like straight buttah and we’re finding that this deep grey color is becoming very important. Get them at Bloomingdale’s!
I remember when I first started my career as an assistant buyer at Lord and Taylor, I would dread Mondays, not just because of the hangover, but because of all the damn recaps we had to do. Some days it could literally consume your entire day. Not only that, you had every vendor you worked with calling you for their reports and if you had a lot of brands, it could really be overwhelming! Now as a vendor, I hotly anticipate the day to see how well we did and what checked and it can really make or break my week.
Last week, it was resoundingly clear that the Vanquish in Violet Patent Croco was the hands down winner. In a week, we sold thru over 20% of our inventory, which at retail, in this economy, is utterly unheard of!! I’ve recently been wearing them myself and in one day, had 2 people stop me on the street, 1 person on the subway and another at a store, who turned out to be the owner, asking where I got them. What better validation can you ask for? These things sell themselves! We’re making new colors of it too. That’s the cool thing about working in a pretty vertically integrated organization – you can react quickly to the demands of the market. Actually we’re working on a lot of dope colors of the Vanquish! Just wait…
For now, get these at Bloomingdale’s – if they’re still there!
We are very pleased and excited (much like the girls in the above picture) to announce that Bloomingdale’s will now be carrying us at one of their premier doors at Lenox Square in Atlanta, GA. They will be carrying the Vanquish so for all of you who have been asking for it in the South, your prayers have been answered!
The Vanquish has undoubtedly been one of our most successful shoes to date. The one of a kind materials we use along with how amazingly comfortable it is on such a wearable, yet directional silhouette have made this the must have shoe. Spending time at the store, I’m finding that it’s sort of bridging the gap between the typical guy who appreciates design with that ultra collector sneakerhead. It’s a beautiful thing to see all your hard work result in something that can bring such satisfaction to your customers.
Any legit sneakerhead remembers Travel Fox. We first introduced the Vanquish in the 80s under the Travel Fox brand (see black and white ad). Travel Fox was part of manufacturer turned brand powerhouse, Hongson’s stable of brands that included JUMP. It became hugely popular in the US for it’s colorful sneakers and racy advertising.
Back then, we’d sold hundreds of thousands of pairs off the Vanquish construction so we thought we’d reincarnate it with our crazy ass materials and on our new last as part of JUMP SNEAKER DELUXE and KA-POW! It’s become one of the most sought after shoes from our retailers and will be hitting stores next week. Sometimes, a classic is just a classic. Get these killers at Bloomingdale’s and at the SoHo store.
If you’re not already aware, JSD has hit stores which means I will be hitting them too. On December 6th between 2-4 PM, Sung Kang and I will be at Bloomingdale’s in Beverly Center to celebrate the launch of JSD there. Here’s the invite.
Definitely try to make it as we are very eager to introduce the latest in Sneaker Deluxe to LA. Also, if you’ve read any of my prior posts you’ll know how cool Sung Kang is. I’m quite excited to see the man again myself! JSD is also available in all NYC Bloomingdale’s stores.
Here are some of the styles Bloomingdale’s is carrying.
Note that in LA, we also sell in Kitson who will carry a slighltly different assortment of our line! Be sure to check us out there as well. Here’s what they have.
At our other favorite, OAK NYC, our shearling lined high top has landed. It’s amazingly comfortable and of course, great for winter.
Here’s a preview of the Sneaker Deluxe line that will be available at Kitson and Bloomingdale’s. It will hit SoHo next month! We’re very excited to introduce the collection.
