Jump 069

Amidst the socio-political unrest in Venezuela, lies a glimmering bastion of hope.  That glimmering bastion of hope is JUMP.  While we have our SoHo boutique, there exists a whopping eight JUMP stores in Venezuela.  Years ago, we had a particular shoe of which we had tremendous inventory on but just couldn’t sell it.  Yes, it happens to the best of us.  A rather young Jhonathan Jraiche happened to stumble upon this shoe at a tradeshow in Miami.  He went back to his father telling him he had to have this shoe in his store.  He placed the order and a few months later, we had to produce more of it just for him.  The shoe became so successful, it gave way to the opening of a store entirely devoted to JUMP.  Soon after, more stores popped up with the most recent in the resort island of Margarita.  It’s become one of Venezuela’s most well known women’s shoe brands and has recruited some of the most famous celebrities to represent JUMP.  The Venezuelan JUMP team recently took a trip to NYC and produced these commercials for VZ TV.

Here’s Marjorie DeSousa, Venezuela’s top soap star.

Here’s Norelys, famous Venezuelan model.

JUMP SNEAKER DELUXE NOW AVAILABLE IN STORES.

November 27, 2008 · Leave a Comment

If you’re not already aware, JSD has hit stores which means I will be hitting them too.  On December 6th between 2-4 PM, Sung Kang and I will be at Bloomingdale’s in Beverly Center to celebrate the launch of JSD there.  Here’s the invite.

Definitely try to make it as we are very eager to introduce the latest in Sneaker Deluxe to LA.  Also, if you’ve read any of my prior posts you’ll know how cool Sung Kang is.  I’m quite excited to see the man again myself!  JSD is also available in all NYC Bloomingdale’s stores.

Here are some of the styles Bloomingdale’s is carrying.

Note that in LA, we also sell in Kitson who will carry a slighltly different assortment of our line!  Be sure to check us out there as well.  Here’s what they have.

At our other favorite, OAK NYC, our shearling lined high top has landed. It’s amazingly comfortable and of course, great for winter.

Get it at OAK online.

Hope everyone can rock their JSD for the Holidays.  Happy Thanksgiving!!!  Time to roast the turkey!!!

Where to Buy?!

September 8, 2008 · 2 Comments

As I’d mentioned in my prior post, our trip to Vegas and LA has been highly successful.  We’ve opened up some really great accounts all over the country but I’m particularly excited because two of my favorite stores will be selling us soon!

Oak Home

Oak, which has locations in Brooklyn and on Bond St. in New York.

Kitson Men which is located on Robertson in LA and is opening up a few other locations.

More to come!

Also, check out a writeup on our collaboration with Sung Kang in Footwear News.

New Windows!

July 26, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Doing the windows is always quite a production.  I never go at it with any sort of plan really.  I generally have some sort of concept but it’s pretty loose.  It’s more like when I go antiquing and I find something that turns into another idea that turns into another one that leads me to my final visual destination. For these windows, I had happened upon a few antique stores in Asbury Park, NJ and flipped.  The stuff was awesome – all one of a kind and I knew if it were in NYC or Brooklyn, the prices would be double or triple.

This is Antique Emporium’s shop.

I want the Elvis painting for myself.

And finally, the completed windows.

Bad glare.  I’ll take better pictures.

You’ll notice an abundance of cameras.  Their arrival in the windows is to signify the completion of our Fall marketing campaign.  That and because old cameras are really cool.
